Komatsu is pleased to introduce the second generation of Z2 compact drilling and bolting equipment with unique upgrades and additions, including the first Battery stations, an innovative pump resin solution, optimized ergonomics and more. Zj21 Jumbo drill small class drilling rig and zb21 bolter were first released in 2020 on a shared platform. The new Z2 and jumbo bolters also feature optimized operator ergonomics that offer maximum comfort and visibility, convenient intuitive controls and engineered solutions for ground-level maintenance. The second generation of the Zb21 is a small class bolter with ROPS/FOPS certified fully enclosed operator cab, intuitive controls, integrated custom screen control and industry leading drifters manufactured by Montabert. Bolter also uses Jennmar's J-LOK P Komatsu pumped resin system as an option. The unique solution allows resin to be injected into the drilled hole before installing the bolt, which allows for more economical bolts and helps reduce overall installation costs. The Zj21 jumbo's second-generation rig is a single-axle, Rops/FOPS certified fully enclosed operator's cab, innovative drill bits, advanced hydraulic control system, and renowned Montabert transmissions. Both product lines now include electric versions with built-in smart charging, designed for seamless integration and compatibility with existing mining infrastructure, leveraging Komatsu's innovative approach to Bev. The Zb21 and ZJ21 hammer drills are the most compact hammer and drill bits in their class, designed to handle complex process cycles and tough rock mining tasks, featuring a Bev option and powered by a modular battery with an 83 kWh energy reserve.
